Text is free on every tier, and a free account adds daily credits for pictures.
- As a guest: 5 Short or Medium stories a day. Guests get text only, with no pictures, and stories aren't saved.
- With a free account: 10 stories a day plus 20 credits a day, about six illustrations. Long stories cost 2 credits each, pictures carry a small corner watermark, and your library holds work for 7 days. You can also turn a book into a watermarked storybook video. Animated video needs a plan or a pack.
Free stories and free credits refresh 24 hours after you claim them, and they don't pile up from one day to the next.

What Happens to Unused Credits
- Plan credits reset monthly. Anything left at the end of a billing month expires, and the next month opens with a full allowance. Yearly plans follow the same rhythm, with credits delivered month by month.
- Pack credits last 12 months from the day you buy the pack.
- Free daily credits and free stories are use-them-or-lose-them: a fresh batch replaces them every 24 hours.
Cancellation and Refunds
You can cancel a plan whenever you like. Cancelling turns off the next renewal; the current period isn't refunded, and you keep its credits and benefits until it ends.
A charge can be refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of it and haven't used any of the credits it delivered. This covers your first payment and every renewal, on monthly or yearly billing, as well as credit packs. After a refund, the period that charge paid for ends immediately. Write to [email protected] and you'll hear back within 5 business days. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.
A failed job never needs a refund request, because its credits are returned on their own.

How many credits does a storybook use?
About 41 for a 10-page book. That pays for ten illustrated pages and a cover at 3 credits per picture, two character sheets that keep the characters looking the same on every page, and the story text. Shorter books use less, and redrawing a single page costs 3 credits.
How many credits does a story video use?
It depends on the type. A storybook video, built from your book's illustrations with narration and captions, uses 20 credits per minute. An animated story video is charged by the second: 12 credits at 480p, 24 at 720p and 47 at 1080p. With its character and scene pictures, half a minute at 480p comes to about 372 credits.
Is the story generator free?
Yes, for text. Guests get 5 Short or Medium stories a day, free accounts get 10 and paying members get 20. Long stories, pictures and video use credits, and a free account receives 20 credits daily to spend on them. Plot and idea suggestions never cost credits. Start with the free story generator.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account and the plan won't renew; its credits and benefits stay with you until the paid period runs out. Cancelling on its own doesn't refund that period. A charge from the past 7 days with none of its credits spent can still be refunded in full.
Do credits roll over?
Plan credits don't. Each billing month starts from a full, fresh allowance, and that includes yearly billing. Credits from a pack remain usable for 12 months after purchase. Daily free credits and stories refresh every 24 hours rather than stacking up.
What happens if a story or video fails?
The credits come back automatically, and you don't have to ask. Animated videos are made in 15-second segments, so when one segment fails, only that segment's credits are returned. A storybook video is charged for its estimated length, and if the finished narration turns out shorter, the difference is returned.
Which plan should I choose?
Starter suits a parent making a few bedtime books a month. Creator fits someone illustrating books every week or making several short videos, which is why most people choose it. Pro is for frequent animated video at 720p or 1080p, where credits go fastest.
Is there a yearly plan?
Yes. Paying for 12 months at once costs $101.99 for Starter, $209.99 for Creator and $419.99 for Pro. Your credits still arrive one month at a time and reset at the end of each month.
